32 Athletes Selected For The U20 Novuna GB & NI Team For Mannheim Gala

A talented squad of 32 athletes has been selected to represent the U20 Novuna Great Britain and Northern Ireland team (GB & NI) at the 2026 Mannheim International Gala in Germany, taking place from 13–14 June 2026.
The Mannheim Gala serves as a key stepping stone in preparation for the World Athletics U20 Championships later this summer, with athletes selected who have the potential to achieve a top-eight placing in Eugene, USA. The team features a blend of experienced international competitors and emerging talent.
Following an outstanding win at the Loughborough International in the men’s 4x100m relay, clocking 39.65, Farrell Fabusiwa (club:Croydon Harriers, coach:Paul Weston), Ethan Franklin (Woodford Green AC with Essex Ladies, Gladys Bird) and Dylan Williams (BFT Track Academy, TJ Ossai) will be heading to Germany.
Also on the day, the mixed 4x400m team produced a GB & NI U20 national record of 3:27.04, with Rowan Whittaker (City of York AC, Paul Daynes), Shiloh Omotosho (Basildon AC, Sarah Robinson), Luc Macleod (Glasgow Jaguars T&F Club, Tom Leeson) and Caitlin Hadfield (Derby Athletic Club) all set to compete.
Thea Brown (Sale Harriers Manchester, Ashley Bryant) lines up in both the 100m hurdles and long jump after claiming silver and bronze respectively at the Novuna UK Athletics Indoor Championships. Sixteen-year-old Tito Odunaike (Marshall Milton Keynes, David Johnson) became the youngest ever winner of a men’s title at the same championships in the triple jump, with Harley Henry (Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers, Craig Andrew) joining him on the podium in second place — now becoming his GB & NI team mate.
