Drama as gold shared and Great Britain grab uphill glory in Slovenia

There was a British double in the senior races and shared gold medals in BOTH the U20 races as the Uphill events launched the Ljubljana-Kamnik European Athletics Off-Road Running Championships in Slovenia on Friday (5).
Jacob Adkin improved on silver two years ago in Annecy when striking gold in the senior men's event. But there was a surprise winner in the women's race, where Morven Goodrum emerged from the mist to win on her international debut.
The U20 races were equally dramatic with France's Emilien Simoneau and Yannick Memheld sharing the title in the men’s race and Germany's Gloria Herold and Czechia’s Anna Kynclova following suit in the women’s race.
