Doualla leads record-breaking day

It was a record-breaking day at the Rieti 2026 European Athletics Championships, with Kelly Doualla delivering a superb European U18 record to win the women's 100m.
There were also championship records for:
- Divine Iheme in the men's 100m
- Ethan Rafferty in the heats of the men's 200m
- Linda Batkova in the heats of the women's 400m hurdles
Plus brilliant throws finals including a thrilling final round in the women's hammer with Ukraine's Milaniia Kokhan following in her brother's footsteps to win gold, Emma le Blansch winning women's shot put gold for the Netherlands and Czechia's Josef Pazdera winning the men's hammer title with a world U18 lead.
There were also a world U18 lead from heptathlon winner Alisa Launonen of Finland.
