How to follow Birmingham 2026

There will be extensive coverage of the Birmingham 2026 European Athletics Championships on 10-16 August, bringing the continent’s biggest track and field event to millions of people across the world.

The championships will be streamed live on the European Athletics website* courtesy of Eurovision Sport and there will be additional streams providing uninterrupted worldwide coverage of the field events on the Eurovision Sport platform.

The live stream will be accompanied by expert English-language commentary provided by Hannah England, Tim Hutchings, Phil Minshull and Alex Seftel.
There will also be French commentary on the Eurovision Sport platform with GenAI translations available for selected field finals in Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Serbian, Swedish, Japanese, Hindi and Mandarin.

In addition, the championships will also be televised in 35 countries across 40 national broadcasters, with around 2000 hours of live coverage. 

As well as the broadcasts, live results, live blog and full event reports will be available to view on the European Athletics website throughout the seven days of action.

Plus there will be extensive coverage of the Birmingham 2026 European Athletics Championships on European Athletics’ social media channels Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, as well as daily highlights and full event replays on the European Athletics YouTube channel.

The Birmingham 2026 European Athletics Championships will feature some of the planet’s biggest sporting stars, including pole vault world record holder Mondo Duplantis, Olympic champion Keely Hodgkinson, Norwegian running icon Jakob Ingebrigtsen, Dutch relay phenomenon Femke Broeders-Bol and hundreds of other huge athletics stars.
