Oban Saints played a Mid Argyll Select to open the new Argyll & Bute Hospital Park in Lochgilphead
 during the 1970s. The Oban side (in white) are Back Row (L to R) - Sandy Cameron, David Buchanan,

Oban Saints and a team of Scottish 'All Stars'  face the camera in 1978. The 'All Stars' team included
George 'Dandy' McLean (Rangers) along with Scottish Internationalists John Hughes and Billy McNeill

Oban Saints won the Scottish Amateur Football League Division Six league title in 1979. Back Row

Oban Saints won the Scottish Amateur League's Top Score Trophy in 1988. Back Row (L to R) Stewart

Oban Saints played against a Celtic Profesional Youth team at Mosfield Stadium, Oban in 1982.
Among the Celtic squad that day were Pat Bonnar, John Halpin , Willie McStay, Mark Reid and
David Moyes, now manager of Manchester United. Celtic won the game 3-2. Scorers for Saints were Matthew
MacMaster and George McLuckie


Saints retained the Mansell Memorial Trophy against Kinlochleven United in 1990: Back Row

who made several trips to Oban, folded a few years ago.


Oban Saints were the first Argyll team to win the Scottish Amateur League Premier Division One
 League Championship in 1998. Pictured are manager Iain Jackson (left) and club secretary David

who handed over the handsome trophy at a civic reception given by Argyll and Bute Council.

Oban Saints have been associated with Keyline Building Materials for over 24 years and on the
 21st anniversary of the sponsorship the company and the club celebrated with an anniversary

Saints won the Scottish Amateur League Premier Division One Championship for the second time
in 2002  (the second league championship in four years). Pictured with the impressive trophy

Club secretary David Buchanan won the 'Administrator of the Year' Award at the Atlantis Leisure
 Sports Awards Dinner in 2002. He is pictured with Jim Fleeting, head of the Scottish Football
 Association's Community Development Programme and cartoonist Malky McCormick
who presented the award.


Saints Under 19 manager David Mitchell and secretary David Buchanan enjoy a drink before
the Atlantis Leisure Sports Awards Dinner in 2002.


Oban Saints Veterans entertained a team of Scottish All Stars at Glencruitten on Saturday 19th June,
2004. The game ended in a 3-3 draw with Darin Bryars, Neil MacIntyre and Iain Jackson scoring for
Saints with Stephen Downie, Russell Middlemass and Sandy Buchan netting for the All Stars. The

Argyll and Bute Cup Tournament 2004 organiser David Buchanan hands over the handsome trophy
 to Oban Saints captain Graeme Niven after the Oban club had won it for the eighth time after
beating Dunoon in the final.

 first goal scored by Dean Walker in the West of Scotland Cup second round tie held at Mossfield
Stadium, Oban on January 15th, 2005. Saints won the game 5-0.
